Wired mine into the main beam using a heavy duty harness & relay....legal here in the UK.

I did these initially just as a trial to fit the lights.

I also bought a metal sleeve that fits over the threaded section of the lamp steadies, which I coloured in orange.
So Spot Light project now finished .... roll on the darker nights.

I think I need more time, because I have to mount the "new" old grill first and cut it for the lights. (I dont want to screw up my original grill) My idea was to dip the grill with plasti dip in black mat.

I need to get finished in one week, but I don´t have much time to do this. So I would be very happy if you could tell me the lenghts!

Thing is though that although that LED light bar provides amazing spread and illumination close to vehicle if you want distance then the leds don't seem to give that. In the video when the light bar is on when main beam flicks on it still outperforms the lightbar way down the road.

I'm lying in my bed at the moment, so sorry not getting out with my measuring tape anytime soon.
I'll do it tomorrow and advise.
Btw, now the darker nights are in, the power of these lights are absolutely awesome.
It makes my upgraded headlights seem like I'm draping a black veil over them.

thats because I have it angled downwards, when off road often I need beter visibility close up on very rough terrain.
when out shooting I angle it upwards and the range increases beyond belief. The xenons are a non contender then.

So I tried to fit the lamps today, but I failed.
I have removed the bumper and everything but unfortunately I couldn´t mount them as you did because I saw that the grill cannot be replaced. Only the whole bumber.
It´s strange, because I bought on ebay a separate grill as you did. But when I saw how my grill is mounted (welded or glued?) I decided not to trying it further.

Now I´m waiting till my roof rails come and mount them on the top.

I´m really sad right now because your solution to fit the spot lamps is amazing.

Thommy, I never removed the bumper, I fitted the spotlights with it in place.
I cut into the original grill to fit them.

The spare grill I bought was just in case I wanted to revert back without spotlights.
In which case it is then that I would remove the bumper to replace the grill.

 FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

I know you fitted it in the original grill.
But I bought a used grill without badge and it turns out that the grill has a little damage.
So in case I would rebuild everything when I sell my car or something I would have to mount the damaged grill without badge and different paint.
So I had to cut the spare grill. Everything went well till mounting....
You can cut or remove the welded or glued connection but I´m not sure how this will behave while driving or offroading.

Maybe when I have more time I trie to mount the HID´s similar as the user tornado did. Or I wait till I get the roof rails

Are there any noises while driving with the mounted lamps? Whistle or something?

Just been reading this thread about fitting spot lights also noticed someone had fitted a light bar. I was wondering could it be possible to fit a light bar below the number plate on the front bumper where the lower grill is or will it be damaged by water etc.
