Belgium: delivery time ?

to anyone who ordered his/her Freelander II in Belgium : when did you order your car and how many weeks did you have to wait for it ?

I wonder whether or not the delivery time gets longer - which of course is an indication of it's success...
And btw, does anyone knows how many FL 2's are produced per day ?

Regards,
Paul.

Thanks Superkoala. I ordered mine on January 30th. and got as vague delivery date June.
So your forecast is not bad !
I wonder if when a diesel version is ordered with automatic gearbox, this postpones the delivery (as automatic seems to be available only from April on).

Ordered mine late December 2006 (i6 auto). The dealer says I should have it first week of April (cross my fingers).

your welcome, Paul
I'm afraid the diesel with automatic gearbox can postpone delivery a bit, but then again, you never know for sure

We ordered our LR2 on the 13th of January and it was supposed to be delivered around mid-april.
Then our dealer said that it would be here for the 22nd of March.
But it's already here. We are waiting for the licence plate but it's been in Belgium since last thursday (the 8th of March). So it was much faster than anticipated. We've already seen it but haven't tried it yet.
I can't wait!!!

That's excellent news for you Judy. I called my dealer this morning and the delivery time for mine (diesel automatic) could be not less than 5 months !
Beginning of May they should be able to give me a more precise date.

good news for you supercola.
Wink
And hopefully the shipping time is indeed shorter than the "up to 4 weeks" my dealer estimated.

Shocked up to 4 weeks shipping time, you can almost walk from the factory to Belgium in 4 weeks time
the combination truck-boat-truck should be able to do it faster, 3 days looks like a fair period to me

Paul, Judy and Superkoala,

What did each of you order?? Manuals or auto's??????.....just curious as I am chahnging my manual to an auto (long story - read my threads) on the good advice from defkalion and others. Now the auto is released most people seem to be opting for that.
