United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Narvik Black
Thinking of selling these, any idea what they're worth???

Hi All, I'm thinking of selling my hst alloys and tires but I have absolutely no idea how much they are worth. They are in very good overall condition with perhaps two that would benifit from a referb. The tires are nankang (previous owners choice) and two wheels are 5-6mm and the backs are 3-4mm.
Any idea of what I should ask for them would be very much appreciated. I have looked on fleebay but can't see any hat available, so maybe they're rare???

Might be the camera playing tricks, but they look like Shadow Chromes, possibly refurbed but without the Shadow Question p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Oh, ok sorry if I've made a forum etiquette fauxpar?? I was merely asking for opinions to the wheels value, not listing them for sale.

It's been done before, ask for a price in another thread and someone will make you an offer and before you know it you have sold them, thus bypassing the rules.
Your PM facility won't work until you have made a few more posts.
Hopefully you will get some answers, the wheels where never fitted as standard and offered as an upgrade so they are not very common.

Wasn't my intention, only posted the question because there were none available for sale anywhere to gauge an ife of their value. But I see what you mean. Maybe I'll get them referbed in the correct shadow chrome, is that possible?

Referb shadow chrome?

Is it possible to have alloys referbed with a shadow chrome finish?
If so, anybody reccomend a good wheel referbisher in the Lincoln or Newark area?

About £100 a wheel if in good condition and shadow chrome, been sparkle silver I would say about £80 as they are not standard

You can get shadow chrome done, it's only black base with a silver lacquer and will cost about £400 to do. Based on my last quote for my old car from the wheel specialist, leeds Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I think the shadow chrome is a process rather than a single colour, I would be very careful and find someone who has previous experience. Many of the wheels with SC finish have ended up gloss black or silver, probably as there are few places providing this finish, or even able to do it.
Maybe a browse through custom car sites might throw up something?

Thanks all, I'll talk to my local specialist. If too expensive I'll sell them and get some evouqe alloys instead.

Whoever does the refurb, make sure it is a proper one, acid bath, powder coating etc, don't waste your money on the Herbert's who come to you and spray them, the finish is a poor second to powder coating and actually works out cheaper.
Bodged spray job £100
Powder coating £60 to £80. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior
