I wonder what the Disco driver would have done if instead of arguing, the first thing the cyclist did was punch him straight in the face? Would it have been a major shock to the system that sent him packing or would it have just turned into an all out brawl?

In any case, I don't think any of us would want this situation but it goes to show the sort of nutters that are out there and how they might react if you remonstrate with their iffy driving. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

I don't condone the actions of the Disco owner it could've resulted in serious injury, and could've passed without a fuss. But it does boil my blood when cyclists, after years of bumping their gums about safe cycle routes don't use them. And yes I know it's not law, but it is one of my minor gripes.

In my day job I come into contact with them a lot, it's not easy trying to overtake a group of cyclists with a 50ft tri axle coach. I'm always courteous and give them space, as I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of reporting me.

The ones in the city are the worst, don't stop for red lights or crossings, jump from the road to the path constantly and completely ignore the signs on the back of my coach instructing them not to pass on the inside oh and when they do stop at lights they lean against the coach.
