Hi.
Just had a Westfalia fixed tow bar and 13 pin electrics fitted to my 63l plate F2. Cost £330.00
This tow bar will also be ok for a cycle rack. The Westfalia electronics are identical to LR's so everything works perfectly!

On my previous F2 I had a witter remove able one. I hardly ever took it off so it was a waste of time! Also very pensive!

I tow a caravan and various trailers!

Fixed Swan neck or standard towball

Standard towball, can be unbolted and a plate to take a bike carrier can be installed, to allow you to carry bikes whilst towing, though this needs to take into account towball nose weight when towing

Removable ones you risk them clunking and having wear issues Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

hi there,
can you tell me, when not towing does the towbar interfer with the rear parking sensors, i believe that the electrics will turn them off when towing, also does the electrics remap the auto box to compensate for towing and can you tell me the model of westfalia you bought

the towbars won't interfere with parking sensors, well non of my 3 Fl2 have had this issue

you are right, when connected (and programmed) the sensors are turned off when a plug is slotted in too the electrics Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

When towing the sensors are not affected and the indicator that a trailer is attached light up on the dashboard. 1998 300TDi Auto Disco, never to be forgotten.

Numerous outlets to buy from depending on if you want new or used.
If You will fit yourself or buy fully fitted.
Also your budget is important as the prices do vary.

Good Luck
