Disabling Electric Seats and Mirrors Home Position

I have a 64 plate Metropolis and was wondering if you can disable the drivers seat from lowering - when the ignition is switched off and drivers door opened. I can't see anything in the manual about it but it seems to me that the motor is unnecessarily lowering and raising the seat everytime I get in and out of the vehicle. I guess that this is to enable access etc. but I don't need it. Also, if I fasten my seat belt before I start the vehicle it cuts me in two as the seat raises to the set position!

Does anyone know if I can get the seat to just stay in the one position?

Likewise the door mirrors, most of the times when I park I don't need them to close in.

As I do four or five shortish journeys each day it seems that the motors for the drivers seat and the mirrors are working a lot more than they need to, and will (hopefully) last longer if they aren't used as much.

Go into your driver configuration menu and "un-tick" Easy Exit/Entry and Reverse Dip Mirror. This will disable these functions.

Thanks for that, the seat now doesn't change but the door mirrors problem should have read 'when I lock the vehicle' is there a way to stop the mirrors closing in when you lock the doors?

Possibly the dealer or a suitable diagnostic tool would be the next logical step. MY15

Or, fold the mirrors in by using the switch on the door, then manually pull the mirrors out again. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Hi,
Did this yesterday, certainly works.
Often wondered why the seat did this unless you were very tall and needed the extra headroom to get in, must say makes it much easier, the return mech didn't always work when starting the engine and had to manually press the position button on the seat to make it rise to desired position- this was a great help. Hit it he said, Hit it!--So I hit it, then he hit me---Doh!
