Satnav map scrolling

Had my FL a few months now and have just started to try to get to grips with the Satnav.
The TMC allegedly shows congestion ahead and I would like to see exactly where it is.
For example, on the map I can see a problem about 2 miles ahead but if I zoom in on the map the problem event disappears off the screen.
I can't for the life of me find out how to scroll the map to see the detail.
It doesn't work like a phone/tablet touch screen and there doesn't seem to be any scroll buttons.
What am I missing? MY13 SD HSE LUX Ipanema Sand

Try pressing the screen closest to the congestion, this should make it jump.

Can't you split the screen and have one of the screens zoomed out. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

Thank you so much. I have tapped and tapped the screen but never pressed hard. I have now also found I can drag while pressing hard, though this is a painful experience. Too used to using a touchscreen phone I suppose, where a light touch is essential. Different screen construction obviously.
I have read the relevant pages in the FL handbook so many times but I am sure this topic doesn't get a mention.

Coming from a suction mount TomTom I have found the FL satnav really unfriendly, but this TMC is beginning to look like a gamechanger for me.

I have read in these forums how people have fitted tablet satnavs in their FL. I wonder - are their people out there who really love the factory fitted satnav above all other options? MY13 SD HSE LUX Ipanema Sand

If you think the MY2013 Satnav is bad, you should have seen its predecessor! About as much use as a chocolate teapot. Dire doesn't even begin to describe it! Foraging near Gaydon....

Can't say I'm anything but pleased with the MY15 system which im guessing is the same as MY13?
My only concern reading your issue is that you require firm touch on screen which is not what I experience. I only have to lightly touch to scroll or change views etc similar to my iphone. You may want to get that checked.
It does say in the owners manual that misuse or inappropriate cleaning of the screen can damage it so may be something to investigate. MY15

At MY14.5> they changed the screen from an STN type to a TFT screen. Result = lighter touches required. I think they also bunged on TPMS at the point of revision as well. Foraging near Gaydon....

Thanks. My FL is MY13 so I guess I'm stuck with the old type screen. Not really a problem, I don't need to use scrolling very often. MY13 SD HSE LUX Ipanema Sand

I rarely find TMC to be up to date. This can result in unnecessary route changes if you accept them.
