Flat battery

On a campsite so could not have happened at a better time!
Yesterday evening tried to lock the doors for the night did not work in the end found battery voltage was around
7.5volts. So this morning tried jump starting it with another battery. System checks go okay then on final start
nothing much happens except temp and fuel guage bounce up and down few clicks from under bonnet.
Battery voltage drops from 11.9 volts to about 10 volts fluctuates a bit but that is it.Any ideas before I call someone out.
Another thing I have noticed iis there is a constant drain on the battery of 0.58amps with all doors closed etc.Seems rather excessive

Check the boot light goes out when the hatch is shut??
Are you double locking each time so the computer and all systems completely shutdown?

Someone was told their car wouldnt start because they had a flat battery, what shape should it be then was their answer. Rolling with laughter

If your battery is totally flat, jumping from a slave battery will be a struggle, even jumping from another vehicle will entail you having it connected on a fast tick over for a few minutes.
You will still have a drain on the battery after locking for a few minutes before you have total shutdown of the vehicles electrics.

One flat battery connected to fully charged battery gives you less than a half charged one. Doesn't matter what sized cables you use.

Started okay with another car connected and a good set of leads.Read the numerous posts on here regarding same problems. Think I had possibly only single locked but if so not sure what would still be powered up to cause it to go flat in such a short time
