Starter motor solenoid kit fitted. Success!!!

Just spend the last 90 minutes removing my starter motor and fitting the kit. Could have done it in less time but it was all new to me and didn't want to mess it up.

What a difference £16 and a little time makes!! It starts on the button every time with absolutely no clicks or hesitation. I had already fitted the extra earth strap as I originally thought it was the battery. I was so close to just buying a new starter motor.

All is well again.

I was beginning to think Land Rovers were unreliable, seeing as I have only had it a few weeks. Laughing

Sorry no pics., it really is quite a simple job though. Remove the engine cover, air cleaner filter, air box to make space and then just 3 bolts and 3 nuts and pull up. The solenoid kit comes with picture instructions and is also very simple.

It's been absolutely perfect since changing it.
