Vibration problems

Hi anybody n everybody, my 06 freelander 1 td4 has started to shake like a ____ing dog. At 70ish on motorway really vibrating through gearstick, very lumpy, was told it was prop shaft and needed reconditioning. So I have took prop off and have tried it in 2 wheel drive, resulting in not as much vibration through gear stick but more vibration through full car plus a clicking noise when change gear. Seems to be when accelerating but not when freewheeling, it now also seems to be shaking at 30_40 before gear change. Anybody any answers before I drive it off a cliff?
Cheers Big Cry i

What about a tyre out of balance?
Or tyre wear?
I had a Jag once and the tyres used to wear a certain way, not a fault say the garage its the suspension geometry, ha!
that caused vibration that was cured once new tyres were fitted.
Have you checked the tyres? theres nothing stuck in one or a bulge created due to kerbing or potholing?

Driving off a cliff would cure the vibration momentarily until you reached to other end Shocked
