OK guys, I think my brother has enough info to make a decision especially from the members who reside in Aussie.

Imagine this, you are in London and your car breaks down. You ring Land Rover and ask for the closest service centre and they tell you it's in Prague in the Czech Republic. This happened to me except it was in South Australia but the distances were comparable. Sometimes it's prudent to take a worse car if the support is available. I have a natural aversion to Toyotas so recommended the Pajero because the Police use them in many areas. And we tend to call the brand Bitsamissing. |

I think for any newcomer to Australia the best advice is to remember that distances here are "great" and whatever your choice of marque then your best guarantee is being prepared as out there doesn't matter what you drive this will save you!

Get any car serviced properly by a good mechanic, ask your neighbours.
