Hole in power when changine gear

I seem to have a strange symptom with the engine, I may be someone here has had a similar problem and an answer

When accelerating hard I change gear and for a couple of seconds there in no power and them it comes in. Happens in every gear.

Any ideas

Yes, turbo lag but its seems more pronounced or am I just notising it nore?

Any mods that would reduce it?

We had a discussion about this recently. The engine management is set to momentarily decrease revs when changing gear. It may be that yours has somehow got out of adjustment. No I don't know how to fix it though, sorry. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

This was my previous post:
OK, it's known as surge damping. I can only find a reference to the TD5 but suspect that it's the same on our machine. See the last page of this article: http://www.thong.dk/laro/Kobling_Land_Rover.pdf
A switch in the hydraulic system tells the engine management system the clutch is depressed and prevents over-revving. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

I wouldn't give up so quickly - it doesn't sound right! I was just suggesting a possible cause. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
