I could not work out at first how the control arm could be disconnected. Could not see what type of clip was used. Therefore I had already done two cleaning cycles before I disconnected it. When I did get it off it moved freely and as you said would move back under its own weigh. What ever the issues the car has, I doubt the turbo cleaning would have done any harm. I fact acceleration is improved and turbo responds is better. It's just the noise that is bothering me now.

This was strange... No fuel/exthaus smell? (leaking injector) What did you use to check for DTC's? (As your SDD didn't work) Have you tried to run it without the drivebelt? (Pully bearing or something.) Hard to know if the sound are mecanical or resonance from the air path... |

Maybe this problem does not generate a DTC, but you don't know for sure before you have tried with a brand spesific tester. HawkEye with software v7 is very good and of course SDD... |

You are correct, I do need to have this checked out on SDD. I'm going to have to make this a priority and fix the laptop so it may help me fix the car. I'll try and give this a go tomorrow. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !

Yes, this was very early! What can be the cause of this? Is it the bearing? Wrong type of engine oil? Clogged turbo oil filter? (There is a small one it the oil pipe) How often do you change the oil? Keep us informed! |

I don't do many miles in a year with this car, but when I do they are usually long journeys. The oil and filter are changed every 12 months and I use Mobil 3000 oil. I do now know there is a small mesh filter at the turbo but this is not part of any service schedule that I am aware of.

There is no problem with the turbo actuator. Don't know the answer as yet but the initial thoughts by Turbo PAC was that something was bent inside the turbo itself.
