United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Zermatt Silver
My New FL2 Commercial

Hi just picked it up tonight from Lloyd LR Carlisle and driven back over the Penines through a Monsoon, great for me, but pity my poor wife in my soon to be Ex Vectra.

I must say though that although I'm delighted with it I feel like a poor country cousin to the rest of you with your body kits, custom elephant foreskin leather upholstery and 9 hour washes.
Mine is a bog standard S + a full size spare wheel (how can anyone survive on a repair kit?) It has to earn it's keep with me and it's batism is pulling a 6'' Woodchipper dow to Cannock for a forestry show.

Anyhow I'll keep you all up to date on how I get on, as I expect to be doing 35K a year.

Silver by the way (Company policy)

Please explain.

Do you mean this Aux Heater, I'm sure my humble S doesn't have one of these!

don't feel like the country cousin Shocked

You still have a FL2, whether its a S, or HSE, Kids or boxes in the back

Welcome to the club Thumbs Up

I don't think you have the cruise control on the S version, and doing 35K a year might be worth looking at having it added Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I will miss cruise control, had it on my Vectra and it was great for long distance towing.

Couldn't go to the XS to get it and according to Lloyd it's not available as a retro fit.

If anyone knows different I'll be pleased to hear from them.

This vehicle is awsome, I've only managed to put a tankfull through it this week, but it's been a pleasure.
If this is the basic one (and commercial version at that) then how good are the deluxe ones.

I've had every estate car there is Passats,406s,Laguna(best drive, but very quickly things stop working) and finally Vectra, all high end spec. but nothing matches this FL2

My last 4x4 was a FourTrack in the mid 80s, that was functional and err, that's all I can say!

I'll add more later, just had to get this said!

Front Rubber Mats

I was too mean to spend £60 on a set of these, as I don't need the 2 rear ones, (no back seats you see)

LR do not offer a front pair only.

Does anyone know of a decent none branded type?
