You've got to love SA humour.
When I lived in the Western Cape some 15 years ago, a Mercedez Benz had come off Chapmans Peak, a notorious twisting mountain pass just outside of Cape Town, bounced 100t down the ravine and was lying as a mangled wreck at the base. The driver walked away with a broken collar bone, and no other injury. Mercedes ran a full-page Ad the next day in the Argus/Times and Star, with a picture of the wreckage, highlighting how safe drivers were in their vehicles once all the SRS devices coupled with design etc etc. all pulled together....
Not to be outdone, the following day BMW ran exactly the same full-page ad, the only difference being that there was a 5 Series seen taking one of the cambers at speed, holding the road like glue, whilst the wreck of the Merc could clearly be seen at the foot of the ravine. The three word headline of the ad was simply: BMW BEATS BENZ, in an obvious dig at how badly the Merc cornered in the first place.
Both Marketing departments had those ads up and running inside of 48 hours of the original incident, and was typical dry SA humour, and taken in context. Can you imagine the "faux outrage" and libel cases that would have thrown up in the Euro State, where no-one is allowed a sense of humour had that ad been run in say....Germany or England? Foraging near Gaydon....
