20in Stormer alloys..

I'm sure it's come up on here a few times, but i didn't think you could fit the RRS 20in stormers to the FL2?... don't look to bad IMO.

Stevea, I think there is a mounting kit available for fitting the LR3, RRS and RR alloys. Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!

It does look nice, but

Why change it to a LR2 (Is it a UK spec import?)
What model is it ? (XS or SE)

The rim adapters i have seen say compatable with RRS/D3 18" or 19" wheel

Will the car take the extra weight of 20" wheels

Are they original 20" Stormers or Chinese Cracks-R- Us copies?

As CG say reg is illegal on two counts spacing and it been silver and black

Still looks nice though, but i wouldn't spend £18k on eBay on a car Shocked Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I know a few people who have bought ebay cars for biggish money with no probs Thumbs Up At the end of the day its no different to one out of the classified, but if the seller has lots of good feedback you are reassured he's not a complete mystery. At work

From what I have read Cracks -R-Us are going strong in the replica wheel business

Looks the same, but don't have the same load rating as OEM.

Obviously in this case a fake RRS wheel, may have the right load rate for a FL2 (or LR2 in this case Laughing )

I personally wouldn't put fake wheels on a car that cost £28k (never mind a £55k RRS) that i drive and have my wife and kids in Rolling Eyes

Obviously there is nothing to say that these are fakes on the car in question, but its a question I would ask if I was looking.

@ CG, I suppose you have a point, buying it off Autotrader/classified ad is the same as eBay, but how much will the eBay fee's be Whistle

Can you AA/RAC check a eBay motor? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

you can check an ebay motor anyway you want and if it is advertised as kosher and you find that it isnt then its 'item not as described' so your bid isnt binding anymore and you can walk away Thumbs Up .

I think ebay fees are different for cars, more of a fixed fee rather than a percentage, otherwise people would buy/sell out of auction and not pay ebay anything other than the initial auction posting fee. Not the sort of thing I would do while selling a second hand digger on ebay for example Whistle Whistle ..well ebay did make £3 in fees so alls fair Laughing At work

When I was a poor young lad and wanted to beef up my Mini I bought those wheel spacers which make it look like you have wide wheels on.

Then someone told me of the extra stress they put on the hub/wheels etc and how they can break.

I took em off.

Its below a SE spec as there is no satnav bump on the back - as for the FL2 on the back Question

Still, the wheels look nice, but i'll stick with my HSE alloys... although I would be tempted if a set of the 19in chrome shadow wheels come along for a decent price...

PA51 ELY - fitted your 19in rims yet? - post a pic when you have Thumbs Up

That looks good IMO.

With some front and rear light guards, silver door mirrors and extra auxilary lighting on the front grille it would look awesome.

Maybe worth a photoshop job if I get a sec. "CY from DISCO3"
