I expect they're the ones that spent 3 weeks at 45 degrees in 8 feet of water in the Solent last year.....

Keyless entry again, maybe time to go back to the old fashioned padlock like Mr Bean's Mini? |

The same place as I kept my key, until it was needed. My pocket.

In future the blipper will be injected into you, like a dogs microchip, then you cant forget where you left it and your wife can track you down at the pub |

It's not the technologies which are bad, it's the implementations. There are well known and obvious solutions to pretty much all of the current problems, it's just that for whatever reason they're not being used in current-generation LR products.

This glitch does however show the potential for even smarter smart keys............. surely LR can ask some spotty teenager to scribble a few lines of software code so that when a smart key has handed over the Rangey to miscreants the owner just clicks on a smart phone app to have all the doors fling open when the vehicle is above a certain speed and turf the thieves out on the road - simple!
