Received this email fro JLR today for my MY14 TD4:

Jaguar Land Rover Limited would like to advise you that during ongoing quality assessment of our product it has been identified that a possible safety related problem may occur on certain Land Rover vehicles within a specific production range, and your vehicle ****** falls within this category. Please read the information below, this will explain the actions that we intend to take and what you will need to do;

Q488 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler
Jaguar Land Rover Limited has contacted us to make us aware of a potential quality concern with your vehicle. There is a chance that coolant may leak internally within the exhaust gas recirculation valve, causing white exhaust smoke. A low coolant warning message may appear on the instrument panel.
At your visit, your preferred Land Rover authorised repairer will check the EGR cooler manufactured date, and if within the date range, the EGR cooler will be replaced. The rework action will be undertaken on your vehicle at no charge to you, under the terms of this programm Td4 XS manual, Orkney Grey, MY2014

I had this issue - only found out hard way outside of Birmingham!! Mine is a 2011 model . .

The email doesn't specify the VIN range affected - mine ia a May 14 delivery - and I don't have access to Topix to see what the technical bulletin says. It's going in on 14th to be checked. Td4 XS manual, Orkney Grey, MY2014
