Rear seat folding

My double rear seat no longer folds down and no amount of pushing, pulling and tugging can budge it! Anyone any ideas as to how I could release it? The single seat still folds as usual.

I take it you mean the base not the back? If so it is possible that the electric front seat seats have been driven back into the rears when folded and sprained the hinge on the rears - it is advisable to remove the rear headrests when folded to prevent this. If this is the case then it may help to push the rear squab to the rear while trying to pull it up and over. Silver 2009 HSE

Thanks - I'll give that another try. It happened once before a couple of years ago , but I can't remember what I did to eventually release it! Brute force and ignorance I suspect...
