The rolling diameter will be about the same I believe, so should ok be for temporary use. Somebody else will no doubt confirm but 225/65/x doesn't sound much like a space saver...?

Why not bung a full size matching spare in your wheel well? A good used alloy / tyre would probably not cost a great deal more than a new space saver.

Not a space saver as you say, but it does seem to be what LR (used to?) supply as a spare. I have one of those - 225/65/17 on a steel wheel. Why 225 rather than the standard 235 only LR can say - a 235 can't be that much more expensive surely?!

Anyway, that should be fine as a spare with the 18" road wheels, but being a steel wheel is supposed to be limited to 50mph.

Is there an issue fitting a steel wheel with bolt (or is it nuts) from an alloy wheel? SD4 HSE Lux Orkney Grey,Full size spare tyre,Ugly kid glass.

My trick is to find a buy it now and phone / text / email using the number / email address usually on the page, offering to buy it at a lower price if it doesn't sell.

I bought my new 19" rim this way.
