Has anyone noticed there rear door seals are a chalky appearance? I have wiped them down but still no joy My FL1 is really bad in the rear there almost white but that is an 11 year old car and not 15 months! I'm hoping autoglym vinyl and rubber care will bring the colour back.

Mine go like that they don't seem to respond well to dressings,some make them look better but mine keeps returning.

Mine are the same. Haven't used anything on them yet. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

Tried the AG Vinyl and Rubber care in mine a fortnight ago, and it left it even worse! Streaky and pitted. I need to rethink that, so would not advise that you use it for this issue. Foraging near Gaydon....

I thinks its a mix of the stuff used to try and preserve the rubber, and the moisture the seals trap drying out and leaving a salty type residue.
A silicon based lubricant may help but eventually that will dry out/rub off and you will probably get the white dusting back again.

I had a similar effect on a renault some years back. I used neat glycerine which seemed to work without leaving streaks. Also use it on boot seals to keep them supple. FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory

I used some Leather conditioner as I was cleaning and treating the seats that worked really well. John
