transfer case oil change

I changed the oil in my transfer case yesterday. As anyone who's done this will know, i'ts hard to get a tube down inside & I was only able to extract about 0.5L. Not worried though as it looked better than I was expecting, not metallic looking like the oil from my rear diff, just a bit darker than the new oil. After refilling I think I have a bit more oil in there than the recommended amount, is this likely to be an issue? I don't see why as its just a gearbox. Is there a breather on the transfer case?
