$39k would be £20k over here at current rates. That gets you the base model or an 18-24 month old HSE. An HSE is around £31k new from memory so $62,000. All smoke and mirrors though with exchange rates. I looked at moving to the US a while back. I could sell my house here (befoere those overpaid and under brained brokers screwed everything up ) sell the cars, buy all the same in the US - have no mortgage, pocket $200k in change, take a lower stress job and relax! 07 Freelander 2 TD4SE Tambora Flame, side steps, privacy glass, mud flaps, boot liner and a tow bar. Ok it's the Wifes but she lets me drive it occasionally - if I've been good! |

The free servicing is dependent on the region and even sometime the dealer. I have 3 years free servicing on my '08 model.

Possible you were told that the free servicing was ending to make the old stock seem a better deal

I've heard the same thing from our local dealer regarding the 09 models. And he told me it is on all LR's including the 90k range rovers.

I've not owned a BMW, but I can tell you that I absolutely love my LR2 and have had virtually no problems with it. |

All depends on the area/region/country, yes..........In Norway BMW has 1 year less warranty than LR (2 years to 3 years LR) and servicing is not included on either makes. However BMW does have an unwritten guarantee on certain parts that they will replace for free up to 100,000 KM's, however labour has to be paid for by the owner in most cases. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Is that a debate really?? Surely it is a matter of needs........if you can't make the choice get both. I almost went for an M3 but picked up my Cayman S instead, but would definately miss my LR2 if I had to give it up. Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back! |
