Electrical Gremlins......?

I have been a regular reader of this forum for many years (having still running my trusty 07 Freelander 2 since new) , even though not posted much, but I thought I would throw this one out there.

Over the last year/18 months I have had a few electrical issues (in fact the only issues I have really ever had bar the usual stuff seen by all). It appears to be getting worse, and hotter days appear to be the main trigger.

So I get things like no sound from audio, airbag light coming on, Air Con and Fan not working. Then the next day it is fine. At the weekend, everything was fine, came home after a full day out, 90 min drive, pulled up at the driveway, saw my neighbour, put down the window, turned off the radio (to chat etc. - car still running), and bang....on came the airbag light, and then when reversing into driveway, also the PDC was not working (LED just flashing/error).

Next morning, everything OK, not an issue anywhere since.

I go for ages without a problem, then a couple of days of issues, then all working for weeks or months.

I am assuming it is a connection issue somewhere, not been to dealer, as I doubt unless it is not working at the time, they will have no joy....and I don't want to get into a round of replacing ever airbag sensor, when clearly it is more than just the airbag warning light.

So the big question, anyone got any ideas of where to start investigating it? [/quote]

hopefully it turns out to be simple and cheap - perhaps the earth strap, or the battery reaching its end of life.

I'd have a look at the battery connections first
then the battery itself No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS

Definitely fit a secondary earth strap unless you have already done so. It can be miraculous!
