according to the manual, you can set 'autobrightness' so that the screen dims in low light and brightens in bright light. I haven't had much chance to test this yet, so can't give an opinion on how effective it is. |

I haven`t set up anything on mine, and it always seems to be about right in terms of brightness day or night so I assume it is dimming automatically.

About the dimming SATNAV. -->It dims automatically when lights turn on and you can adjust the brightness in the software. Next to that it dims more when you manually dim your dashboard lighting.
