Easy solution is to take your trade elsewhere. I've done that before, offered a crap trade in, walked went somewhere else and got the deal I want. When I traded my BMW in for my current Freelander 2 I was offered the same price as everywhere else so it looks like the dealership is trying to pull as fast one. |

To be honest Muddy, I reckon you are going to miss the RRS and all its toys, so the HSE spec will be the better option anyway. Just my opinion for what its worth

Thing is as Land Rover no longer make the Freelander they can't get enough of them. It's supply and demand. |

Using price guides on web I reckon I'm being offered £2k less for mine and they're asking £2k more for theirs than I expected - so £4k bonus for stealer

I changed my 06 RRS for a new XS last year - only thing I miss are electric seats and armrests. Its all leather with cold climate pack, removeable towbar etc. (extras of course) and should have got an HSE which has those & a glass roof. Oh yes & an auto dimming mirror - really missed that for a few weeks ! Compensated for by having a hugely inflated bank balance & prospect of minimal - by comparison- running costs. FL2 Ex D2, D3, RRS, etc. now all gone. |

I was hoping for the inflated bank account and minimal running costs but not looking likely Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
