Should reduce insurance premiums, it's unlikely to get stolen. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

Or it could be more likely to be stolen. Wrappings come off, so steal it, remove the wrapping, then you're pretty safe as everyone is on the lookout for a pink striped monstrosity whilst you're driving around in a bland grey (or whatever) FL2!

And think of the insurance claims when someone runs into you - "I didn't see him as he was camouflaged!"

Ah but remember we're talking insurance companies - any excuse not to pay. Grey and black factory colours are OK as they're standard - not much they can do about those. But camo would be a modification (cringe), so would automatically make any accident your fault.

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Santorini Black

military defenders come out the factory in just plain green

we used to hand paint the black stripes on to them (or spray paint if we kept out of sight of the HSE rep)

some of the older defenders used to have a base of green paint, then a thick layer of black/green on top, followed by a sand colour, followed by white, and then covered over in a thick green/black layer on top.

how would the insurance company deal with that non factory standard paint job ? Rolling with laughter
