Whilst there is a known problem with the Haldex, I am starting to wonder if it genuinely is the Haldex, or the Dealers thinking "one size fits all, and it'll make us some money on Warranty"

If it is the bearings rather than the whole unit, JLR really do buy bearings! Diff, Haldex and wheel all dying on low mileage reasonably new cars. Can't be right. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

I understand that big most jobs require sign off before the dealer starts. I have had a few problems where the dealer has told me to bring it in on a specific day because that's when the independent assessor comes in. I was told after my rear diff problem that they had agreed that the diff bearing plus the xfer box needed to be replaced but that JLR would only pay for the xfer box and that the dealer did the diff bearing at no charge to me (if you can believe this story). 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Interesting comments Badger. The Landrover Assist guy that turned out diagnosed the rear diff bearings. The dealer garage has diagnosed the Haldex Unit and got the go ahead from Landrover.

From previous posts all over this forum, its seems that JLR Assist are the guys that really know what they are doing and the the dealers (with a few exceptions) seem to know very little. |

Although I haven't used LRA, my local dealer Morrisons Stirling have been excellent. When I called in the noise my car was making they said over the phone it was likely the diff, but upon inspection they said it was the transfer box. A few months later and still no noise so they were bang on the money. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

I once knew a guy who was workshop manager at a Toyota dealership and he said that most of their work was PDI and regular servicing on newish cars. This had three effects
