Anyone found that the FL2 collects a lot more flies than a lot of cars?!

try a foam gun attachment for a pressure washer

leave the foam on for 10mins pressure wash off, job done  Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

maybe a traffic film remover will work, these a normally either sprayed on neat or diluted with water

You could always use a high pressure pump up sprayer such as Hoselock ones at the garden center

Agree the car does seem to attract flies ...

I've found the fly squash stuff works OK, though I prefer to rinse the car after using it, so that may not help. Also thats no good if you stop to clean the screen on a journey. Since I'm a bit of a fuss pot about keeping the screen clean then I often find myself stopping on route to clear the flies.

This is my solution. First I have to admit to being one of those types who has a box of 'stuff' in the back of the car, in the box I have a cheepo spray bottles containing a concentrated mix of screen wash (50-50) and cheepo plastic pan scrub. The pan scrub is very effective on fly debris without damaging the windscreen. I've also found that simply reaching some part of the windscreen can be a problem so I find that standing on the sill of an open front door is the best way to reach all parts of the screen.

Driving with the moonroof open certainly collects flies in the netting at the front of the opening. Whilst this feature is excellent for stopping noise and draughts through the roof its a b r to keep clean of insects, especially if they are allowed to dry . Dont recommend washing them off with the water hose either and I have also used the vacumn cleaner which helps but does not remove all the spoldges - , so does anyone have a good cleaning solution for the moonroof netting  2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

I found I can flick the dead flys off from the inside whilst driving and it works fine, but then again there aren't that many flies here, especially not big ones. Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!
