You could soon reverse the bag charge if everyone filled a trolley and then were told they couldnt have a bag to put it all in free so just left it there and walked off.

Now that the plastic supermarket bags are charged for by a tax in Scotland people carry the groceries in whatever bag they can find. (Coming to england shortly too)

My personal preference would be not have a number plate on at all, to go with my badge less tailgate. Rolling with laughter

How things are going maybe we will all end up with a bar code sticker instead soon, then at the scene of a crime a witness can say its number was 3 wide bars, 2 thin bars, 2 wide?

The queen doesn't have plates. Maybe you could bump off lots of the royal family and eventually get to be queen?
The only plate I am envious of is the Lord Mayor of London's. He has LM0 on his ageing official Rolls. And yes, they have been stopped outside London for having an apparently illegal plate. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS

Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

The quality of food from Aldi is, in the main, far higher than Waitrose/Sainsbury etc.
The fact that people think of it as a "Discount" supermarket is indicative of the current obsession with names rather than products. it's just a supermarket. The prices charged do not reflect the quality of the products. They are just much more efficient and therefore cheaper to run
.....a bit like the 2.2 Diesel we are driving.

I'm perfectly happy with the number on my plate - been in the family for generations now. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

Whatever happened to the rule/law that said that you have to present your log book to get a number plate made? I found lots of DIY places on eBay. I even made one up for £8 with the dealers details and logo on the bottom to replace a plate vandalised by a passing fox. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I think they get around it by saying its for show purposes only?
Now why you want such a plate I dont know as all plates are on show, and they know folk will order misplaced numbers for show purposes and use them normally everyday, I see loads wrongly spaced to read names and they are like that for years, they must swop the plate to get an MOT and then change it back thats all I can think??

Things are pretty relaxed out here in the Fens. One local bus service even has an illegal plate! BU5 2 ELY. Geddit? Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
