Would love to do this but too far sadly. 700 mile round trip and Ill be in the midst of trying to sell my house so cant spare the time. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

It would be great to see you. As far as kids attending the usual stipulation is they should be over 6 (off the top of my head) but as they'll be in your own vehicle most of the time - there should be no problem.
Children aged between 11 and 17 can on occasions also have a short drive.

I'm away for a week or so and on return will start firming up arrangements.

Just an update - will post full details shortly.

The event will go ahead on 14th June and the basic cost will be £50 per vehicle to use the LR Experience East of England Offroad site (usually £65) with an instructor on hand to advise. For an additional payment of £20-25 you will also get the chance to drive one of the LR Experience vehicles, not sure which one yet but probably a Discovery or Discovery Sport but depending on the wishes of the majority could be changed to anything in the range.

Access to Rockingham Castle will be available on the day.

Food will not be provided but coffee/tea and biscuits will be available - could bring a picnic or similiar.

Apologies to all who have expressed an interest in attending this event but we've had to postpone it to a later date. Now looking at a date in September when we'll definitely have a Discovery Sport available for guests to try out in addition to their Freelander's.

The new date for the Freelander 2 Meeting at LR Experience East of England (Rockingham Castle) is 13th September.

Outline plan is:

0900 - 0930 Arrive, coffee,
0930 Short presentation on technology
1000 - 1530 Offroad driving in your Freelander 2 with an LR Experience Instructor on hand to give advice and guidance
1530 Tea and biscuits and depart.

There will be a Discovery Sport available during the day for anyone who wishes to try it on and/or off road with an instructor to tell you all about it.

Price will be £50 to use your own vehicle, plus (probably) £20 for an hour or so in the Discovery Sport. Usual prices for this are £65 for own vehicle and £90 for a one hour experience.

Please let me know if you're interested in attending and nearer the time I'll confirm payment details and send out directions on how to find the Experience Centre which may well have moved to new offices by September.
