Just to update this thread, latest second service quote from TVLR is £335.48.

Mine has just clicked over 65k miles and has not had a proper LR service in years, its a 57 plate, what sort of service cost should I expect? Guessing I will need new brake hoses as they have not been done to date

Can't see an obvious reason to give it a dealer service. It is essentially an oil and filter change and a few visual checks (service sheet is available on here somewhere I think). A competent independent may well do a better job.
Could be about time to renew brake hoses, as they can start to bulge and fail an MoT. That said, I've never bothered, and I've had some old high mileage cars, except when they failed an MoT. Oh, and on my 6 month old Cherokee, when a solid pipe near the master cylinder split when I braked! Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

Just had mine serviced at Landrover garage, £346.00, will do some checks this week to see if things have been done/changed.

Just been quoted £546 for 2nd service by Taggerts in Motherwell , dealer in Stirling £450 😳, dealer in Stirling gave me a special price £403.75 , I know I know I'm a smooth talking  Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

Just had a 2nd Year (B) Service at a Dealership for £398 that included a day tooling around in a 66 Plate Disco with 250 miles on the clock. The Disco interior wasn't a patch on my Freely!

Just been quoted £524.16 for a 2nd year service . Seems to have gone up a lot since my previous FL2 had its 2nd service (paid less than £400 then IIRC

Think I need to shop around the Birmingham area and see if I can get it a bit cheaper - any recommendations ? Jules

Guy Salmon dealer near Coventry charge the same (£525) for service B according to their on-line booking system. The only difference I can see between a 1st year A service and a 2nd year B service is changing the fuel filter which adds an additional £225.
The fuel filter canister seems to be more complicated than the usual replaceable filter type - has temp sensitive bypass valve within itself. Anyone know how much the fuel filter costs on its own ? Jules

Just had mine done today for £320 inc vat. I supplied the oil. That includes brake fluid change plus all the usual B service items. I notice they now charge £8 for environmental disposal which was not on last years 1st service. And that includes another landy as a courtesy car. When you include the £40 for oil it is still not particularly cheap but better than what some get charged. FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory

Was not far from the Leeds Stealers today, all new singing and dancing place with Jags as well.

No proper trade counter and finally found a parts youth so asked for B service kit and was only offered a 10% discount. Did my don't you know who am I routine and got back to the 20% they knocked off last time. All in £80.18 for LR genuine parts. If I was not already near I may just be doing it online as not the 25% I can get off genuine Merc parts for the wifes car at the Leeds Merc Stealers.

Still happier to have the LR bits and receipt for my records than something with low provenience. Will be a few more mile though before all being fitted along with my Millers engine oil. By the time I get it done with service indicator re-set at an Indie my B service will be around £160 all in. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
