Ivory is correct, was consist trim colour throughout range.
Speakers are consistent on Meridian Systems only difference between Midline/Premium was additional D-Pillar speakers and centre dash speaker.
I think mentioned differences were for earlier Alpine setup. Low line had single cone door speakers, midline had no dash speakers but additional mid-range door speakers (part of the same speaker). MY15

Australia 2008 Freelander 2 i6 HSE Auto Sumatra Black

Thanks Stuart.

Hmmm....

Think i'd better have a closer look at what's in the vehicle now. It's a 2007-build HSE with Midline sound, Alpine badges on the front door speaker grilles.

99% sure it does not have the speakers up on the dash, just the tweeters in the doors. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers

Yeah, from what I've been led to believe for the Alpine setup you only get dash speakers in hi-line and obviously D-Pillar.
Checking would be ideal! Then go from there.
I'm not an expert as I have the Meridian System which I also plan in future to upgrade to Premium so I have intimate knowledge of this system Thumbs Up
Remember you will have to edit CCF to get it all to work. MY15

Jaap - yes you need to remove A pillars to expose screw fixing dash speaker covers. The tab that says Airbag flips out on a hinge to expose a single torx screw. Remove this screw and cover will come away (remember these are airbags so best not to have ignition on Thumbs Up ) You will then see screw behind cover for speaker cover. Connector is clipped into dash as per centre speaker, don't forget to pick up some screws and clips along with new speakers for fitting. 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

Thanks Jim, I got the speakers just ordered at Britcar with the screws...... But forgot the clips....
I have no clue of the part number for those.... Will ask the dealer

Thanks for all the advice.
Sorry for the confusion on the door speakers. I have a German Land Rover document explaining how all the systems work and where the components are in the freelander 2. It's from 2006 and aimed at dealers so they could get familiar with the car.
That manual stated that the Premium setup had different front door speakers. Obviously LR made changes to the delivery models.

Thanks a lot.
Now let's wait for the parts to arrive.
Will be fun to have it all in there.

Hope the local dealer is willing to do the programming.....
At least for a reasonable amount...

Would the programming be something to do yourself?
Which tool would allow me to do so? Always handy to have one.

Brgds
Jaap

I think i will leave it up to the local dealer..... Read some of the Instructions.... It's not an easy process.
Too much can go wrong.

I had to remove the cover of the navigation unit to get to the connector for the center speaker and stick it through another hole.
It's at the five o'clock position.
All screws are torq.
I have the midline system and without updating the CCF the front left/right speakers work.
I will change the amp later, when I have a bit more time.

Good job - don't fit amp until you get change to CCF. Upgrade amp will not work at all until coding is changed. 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)
