United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Baltic Blue
I've bought one!

Yes, at last I've gone and bought one!

2009 - Freelander 2 HSE TD4 auto in dark metallic blue, and alpaca leather.

Looks very smart, and in good condition, apart from the usual split on the leather seat, but that's being re-trimmed before collection.

How exciting!

Congratulations! Welcome to the club!

As a recent purchaser, I share your enthusiasm.

Be sure to post some pickies in the 'My Freelander' forum...

Thinking of doing any mods? Well, you got the HSE, so I guess you won't need to do much... 2013 SE TD4 in Mauritius Blue [Written off]

Thank you!

For starters I will get some mudflaps for it, possibly a performance upgrade, and will need to find out what mods I can get for it too!

Welcome to the madhouse, don't you mean what mods 'er in doors' will let you get away with?. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

Absolutely right!
Side steps are a must, so she doesn't get mud on her outfit..
Also a performance upgrade is totally necessary for improved MPG to save even more money..

Has anyone fitted a fuel burning heater to theirs? One thing I might miss from my old car.

Car looks great, if you buy steps also buy a rivet tool which you need to fit them. Done it a couple of times it's easy Thumbs Up 2013 hse auto, black, almond leather, exnon lights, factory privacy glass, exhaust finisher, rear boot spoiler, mud flaps. Body door side moulding and steps.

Does the river tool comment apply to all side steps - genuine and third party? I'm going to get some so best be prepared! FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - tailgate paint issues, fuel gauge rewire, transfer box failure at 36k miles, clutch at 60k
Reconditioned diff at 70k ish
Sold at 84k and now on a DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because Iā€™m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though šŸ˜Ž

Hi sorry for the slow reply I'm 99% sure you need a rivet tool with all side steps. I've only fitted steps from EBay on three freelander and a rivit tool was needed. 2013 hse auto, black, almond leather, exnon lights, factory privacy glass, exhaust finisher, rear boot spoiler, mud flaps.
