Side Step, How hard?

How hard would it be to install a "Side Step" myself?

I'm trying to avoid a trip to the Dealership to have this installed if I purchase it.

Got this bit of information from the guys at Land Rover Rocklin...

"It does appear that there is drilling and a special nustsert installation tool that is required to install the steps. If you do not have this tool or do not feel comfortable doing the installation, I would advise that you look into having your dealer install them for you."

This info was from a reply I received from them in an email.

I would not install side steps -had them on Pilot, and they made a lot of noise when driving over water, also you get your pants dirty -they are not wide enough to place your full foot, so you still step down to the ground anyway.
Some find that car "looks better" with them.
