Multi-Storey Car Parks

I regularly use one of the multi-storeys in Stirling. It has quite low ceilings but the spaces are nice and wide which is great as I always have the kids. On a couple of occasions I have almost battered the boot ny opening it and letting it go all the way up, but I got a fright the other day.

Spotted a couple of empty spaces over in a corner so reversed in and for whatever reason thought to myself "bags of room at the back but I won't go any further". Got out the car and this was what I saw...

What bloody car park has a sloping roof??? Only those 2 spaces had it. All the others were flat with plenty of room. Had I gone back another few mm I'd have been a very unhappy bunny. Safe to say I will check every space I drive into now!! FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

That was quite lucky, I was always worried about MSCPs when I had a Defender

The car park at leith shopping centre (next to the royal yacht ) most of the spaces have slopping roofs. Years ago I reversed into a space with my brand new galaxy , I missed the slop by a ball hair. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

United Kingdom 2015 Freelander 2 TD4_e SE Manual Orkney Grey

Theres a local underground car park I use occasionally that only gives 2" clearance on the standard Freelander, if I had roof rails it would not go in. Its not the actual concrete roof thats the height restriction but the air extraction system ducts and fire sprinklers, I wonder just how many folk just drive straight in at the entrance thinking oh it clears easily then once inside clobber their cars??
The only thing at the entrance is a sign saying the maximum vehicle height, and how many folk know the exact height of their car to the millimetre off hand?
