I don't know if it's true but mine is 2 years older than yours and they are fine, unless they are corroded I would forget about it. |

Depends on where your car been used, if its been off roading since new and is cagged up with mud and filth underneath then I can see the brakes pipes might be corroding after all that while, however if youve just done normal highway driving and kept the car relatively clean and hosed it off underneath regularly to remove the winters grit and salt then I would think it unnecessary?

It's the rubber hoses that 'should' be replaced at 5 6 years, not the rigid pipes. |

Ah well yes I can understand that, I suppose its all in the wording, not pipe, its hose, big difference, and you may as well renew them with Aeroquip hoses whilst youre doing it then so next time they last twice as long. |

I was going to ask about this very very subject then this thread came up! My car is not due its 6th service until next year. The brake fluid is recommended to be changed every 3 years so is the actual rubber hose change an easy an cheap job? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Thanks for the helpful reply. So, I guess that it is not something that I can avoid it, if I tell them to check if they're worn out? By the way how can I have access to this manual you mentioned? Thanks again in advance |
