Surely raising the barrier again (perhaps with the assistance of the driver making sure it's free) would have sufficed? Freelander 2 2007 TD4 Manual HSE Tambora Flame Discovery 3 2006 TDV6 Auto HSE Zambezi Silver Previously: Freelander 2 2007 TD4 Manual SE Santorini Black |

There was an incident in the centre of Poole a few years ago. There is a level crossing that goes across the main shopping street, a young boy was waiting with his parents and had his arms across the barrier and his feet were on the bottom of the fence below the barrier when the barrier lifted. According to the local paper he ended up trapped 15 feet up in the air and a couple of soldiers managed to climb up and grab him to stop him falling. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I know the crossing you mean. I've observed previously how more people seem to cross it the minute the lights come on than at any other time! Freelander 2 2007 TD4 Manual HSE Tambora Flame

If it was only that simple The barriers must be checked for damage. Before raising it must be deemed to be safe. A full investigation must take place as public safety was at risk. |
