ever fancied being a farmer?

A Texas smallholding, About the size of Nottinghamshire

A 5000acre UK farm is considered very big
I cant even scrape together 500 acres

Don't forget that in places like Texas and parts of Oz you need 100k + acres because the yields are so low. One of the problems that outfits like John Deere have in Europe is that the crops yields per acre are so much more than in the US that the combines are modified to stop them clogging up. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Did you know that the largest on shore oil field in Europe is in Dorset near Corfe Castle? They have been drilling there for decades out under Poole harbour and out to sea and nobody notices it's there especially the anti fraking brigade. Very Happy 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

yeh, I used to live in Blandford and went to Poole Harbour on many occasions, used the ferry and drove the scenic route around.

The oil works there was non intrusive and clean, nobody seemed to notice it was there.

Poole harbour is also the 2nd largest natural harbour in the world, after Sydney, isnt it ? and also the tidal race there is pretty high up the global rankings i believe.

Yes indeed, however whereas Sydney has the world famous opera house, Poole has a big Asda supermarket in a prime position. Rolling Eyes 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
