Maybe someone can direct me to a thread here that (sometime ago) described a manual adjust seat bottom that would adjust itself downwards over time.

The fix was, if I recall correctly, seat adjustment meganism replacement parts from Landrover?

What was replaced, and with what part number?

My2012 SD4 S driver seat does this from day one and my dealer is out of ideas on how to fix...

Mine dropped quite quickly (2 or 3 hours would see it right down). This was fixed under warranty by replacing the pump mechanism under the seat. However, it then dropped very slowly! I discovered that removing the black cover to the handle so that you are just left with the metal 'stub' cured it completely. It may look a little unsightly (but no one else sees it!) but it has cured the problem completely. I am very light (10st) but I must have been pushing the handle down slightly when getting in or out. Anyway the problem is solved and handle now lives in the door compartment.

Worth removing the handle to see if it makes any difference.

I had this with mine, complained many times and eventually got LR customer service involved.

The cure was an electric seat base giving an electric lift mechanism fitted under warranty as they could not cure the manual lift system.

They asked me about my weight which sort of implied I was too heavy for the seat, but at 6 Foot & 17 Stone, I don't consider myself to be abnormally overweight for my size and I know quite a few who are much heavier that I and they don't have seat problems with their cars!  MY2014 SD4 XS

To remove the handle, lift it to the highest position then by pushing down the squab slightly you can see a T25 torque screw on the inside face of the handle. Remove that and the handle will slide off. Sorry about the delayed response.
