Question regarding bluetooth & Extended warranty for 201

Hi There,
I am new here and I just bought a 2012 LR2 which had 29k miles on it. I have few questions regarding my car and I appreciate if some one could help me find the answers for them.
1. Bluetooth frequent disconnection.
I paired my Samsung Note4 to the car bluetooth and it gets frequently disconnected say less than a min. I have read many threads where people faced this issue, but did not find a solution to it.

2.Extended warranty
My car is still under manufacturer warranty and I am looking to get an extended warranty. Lot of threads mentioned that Ford has a very good warranty plan, however, they are not selling it anymore for the non Ford brands. Please suggest a reliable one which I can buy. I am basically looking for something that will cover bumper to bumper or at least the major and costly parts for 75k-100kmiles and 6-7yrs.

Appreciate your time on this.

If it's still under warranty I would take it back re the phone and let the dealer sort it. As for extension I guess the USA will have lots of different companies to choose so hopefully a fellow countryman will be along to recommend something Thumbs Up

We have two FL2s and one of them (2011 model) has had problems with bluetooth disconnecting on both an iPhone and a Samsung phone. I returned it to the dealer but they couldn't find anything wrong (typical!) I am retired so I don't use it very much so not really an issue for me. However are you aware that the bluetooth module is actually situated at the rear of the car near the fuel filler cap? It is connected via a fibre optic link so try keeping the phone in rear of the centre console rather than at the front near the radio, see if that helps. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

That is incorrect for a 2012 model!

Bluetooth module is in this location only for pre-facelift, MY12 onwards have the ICE AND DAB modules in this location.

I stand corrected, I have a facelift 2011 without DAB so does that mean that mine is actually not in the rear of the car then or was there a change from 2012 (and for all markets)? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Best way, would be to put your Vin into Topix and have a look at the schematics. This way you can be 100% sure.
If you have the Meridian system I'm pretty sure this would be the same for your vehicle. Thumbs Up
I think the Bluetooth module is in the front of the vehicle in later models. But to be honest I'd didn't look and it didn't appear to be in the adjacent rear side either. I'll check next time I'm in and report back. Smile MY15
