You should start a Members' Cats thread, Landiroamer. I have dogs myself, but I'm positive there will be many cat owners on the forum. Paula. |

I'm a cat owner. Or at least I was chosen by a cat. He is sleeping next to me on the sofa right now. Wonderful animals and very good judges of character

Craig, they are two gorgeous animals, my favourites - but where do you find the energy to keep two! Look at their faces - looking at you saying "What we gonna do now?" "Let's play ball" "Let's go!" etc, etc - aaaallll day! 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Considering the are border collies they are fairly calm, my older one was a pain until recently and the pup just wants cuddles when she is not playing with milo (as she was left alone all day with the previous owners)

I have two Welsh Collies and what you say is true. Mental stimulation does tire them very quickly but they still need lots of physical exercise otherwise they can put on weight. The breed is genetically gifted with intelligence and endurance and ours are never happier off the lead blasting around forest trails waiting for the next command. I hardly need to walk, just give the commands or use a whistle, all of which they learnt in the safety of my garden.
