Hi Folks,

Car : 2010 XS

I have recently started having radio reception problems on the FM radio. Losing stations and/or lots of cracking and hissing like I haven't tuned in the station properly.
Now last night I was replacing the rear wiper motor and noticed that I have a connector on the offside rear side window but on the rear nearside rear window I have no connector and what looks like a press stud (as shown in the photo attached. I suspect that this is normal unless you have DAB (I don't as I have a 2010 XS). However can anyone without DAB check to see if they have a connector or not please? I wondered if I have knocked it off hence causing the reception problems.
I'm making the assumption that the offside rear side window has the FM aerial and the nearside rear side window has the DAB aerial.




I'm open to any suggestions regarding what else might be causing the problem!

Just popped out to look at mine.
Stud only on nearside [like your pic] and connector on the offside.
I don't have DAB btw. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

My left window has the button,but not connected
Rh side is connected
I have crap radio reception also
I am thinking of using my cb ariel for the radio 2008 xs
Snorkel
raised axle/gearbox breathers

Blanked EGR
Sump guard
Scratches
Snolkle

Mine's also like that - should there be something attached to it or not? It looks unfinished like that, and there's clearly something embedded in the glass.

Am/fm arial is embedded in drivers side rear quarter glass and is attached to an am/fm amplifier in the roof. Has a long flat attachment to arial (pictured below).



DAB arial is embedded in passengers side rear quarter glass which is attached by a small round connection into the roof lining to a DAB antenna amplifier (pictured below).

OP - my 2014 XS is the same. I noticed it soon after buying it so went to the dealer. They scratched their heads for a part and then checked 3 other cars on the forecourt - they're all like it! Td4 XS manual, Orkney Grey, MY2014

Ahh, OK, so there's nothing missing - it's supposed to be like that.

I had a very noticeable problem with FM reception whenever and while the back window demister was switched on. Seems to have 'cured' itself now though???

What's the darkest rears your allowed mate? There is now law for us over here! I have 5% which we call a limo tint. Do you guys have a legal front tint that you can apply to the windows?

What I was implying was that your tinter has been a bit lazy and not covered the whole glass with the film he has just tinted over the black frame on the glass

Just checked mine, which has DAB, and there's a connector attached to that fitting you're showing with a wire heading upwards within the headlining. Pics below if I can get it to work...

I have factory DAB also it was 18 deg c today when I took the photo! You would never think it's limo tint glass

- tint very professional job, no corners cut, excuse pun!! It's not a fashion accessory over here so profession fitters know there business!



In Australia it's legal to tint all round the vehicle, with past the "B" pillar darker again which is what I have. MY15
