I fitted EBC pads to my motorbike after a recomendation from my friend who works in a Lotus specialist - they used them all the time, replacing the originals that had covered about 12,500 miles. They lasted just 2,500 miles and my brake disc. I bought from Ebay and my friend reckons theres lots of countereit ones about so all I can say is if you are thinking of using them, buy from a trusted source, not off Ebay. I have Mintex on my FL2. Oh, and be careful when fitting the rears. See my last post in this topic http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic15628.html |

I've just fitted new discs and pads, I went for delphi as they are oem quality and I got them from island 4x4 who I've always used because of their excellent service. |

In case anyone is interested I have today replaced the front discs and pads on my wife's Peugeot 207. The front discs were very "lipped" and likely to fail the next MOT. The car has done 41k miles and I last changed the pads in 2011 at 24k miles as they were getting a bit thin (the discs were OK at the time). However the pads I removed today were from Halfords and they had barely worn after 17k miles yet the discs were seriously down which must say something about the hardness of the Halfords pads (or the relative softness of Peugeot discs). I replaced with Pagid components. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I really rate Pagid stuff. I used to have a 911 and always used Pagid discs and pads. Never had a problem. |
