I seem to recall that I got sent some blurb, but don't remember how long before my warranty expired. If you definitely want to take one up then I'd give them a call. If you need the number I can probably find it from my paperwork but think it's on the LR website. |

I'm in the same situation, my original manufacturers warranty ran out at the end of March and my extended one runs out at the end of May as I bought the car second hand from a dealer last May.

We have two FL2s both with 2 year LR extended warranties. At the end of year 1 (in March) we got brochures through the post inviting us to buy an extended warranty so I queried this with the dealer and got it sorted but the excuse given was that LR have been going over to a new system and some of their records have got screwed up.

in the same boat, a lot of money, but given how reliable /expensive these cars are...could be money well spent.

As it's an insurance policy then suggest you haggle on price. Phone a few dealers and get some rival quotes

The warranty, actually two with different levels of cover is available on line. The more comprehensive one (without recovery cover) is £595 pa. Do I understand it that a dealer might undercut that price? |

I have just renewed mine - I went for the lower cover, without recovery. Although badged as a LR warranty it's actually underwritten by a third party. Because I've had some issues with LR dealers, LR themselves paid for 2/3 of it, as a gesture.

Extended warranties through JLR direct are done via the website now and there is no haggling fill in the details online and you will have your price. JLR will offer to fully extend your car warranty for another 2 years providing your car has just gone/going out of the standard 3 year warranty. These extra two years gives you essentially a 5 year warranty. Once the car is older than 5 years JLR will no longer offer a "FULL" warranty and then you have to read the small print.
