couple of strange problems

The first is the rear wiper sweeps once when starting car even though the switch is in the off position.

Secend problem is car will not start if I place shopping on the pasenger seat. Have to remove the shopping and remove the key and start again, then it starts.

Any thoughts

One of our FL2s has a strange rear wiper problem. If you wash the rear window then the intermittent wipe continues after you return the stalk to the normal position. The only way to stop it is to give the front screen a quick wipe. Sad Something to mention at the next service . 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Shopping on pass seat? That's weird.
Does it start with a passenger sitting in the seat? Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Yes it might realise youve got all your eggs in one basket and if it starts they might end up all over the carpet. Laughing
