Definitely makes a big difference in keeping your Freelander cleaner.

The FL2 OEM flaps are not the easiest to fit - rears are easy but the fronts take time - a mounting plate is inserted behind the wheel arch liner to support the flap. Part of the liner needs cutting with a Stanley knife. I've put them on all 5 of my previous FLs. The current FL2 came with them - but the dealer had done a poor job - probably rushed , mis-aligned, clips missing, screws all rusted at 6 months. I re-installed all 4 - replacing screws and washers with stainless items and bolts instead of screws from Ebay.

Mud flaps... yeah, they work, if you never go off road...

I have used the cheap ones on eBay for both my disco3 and freelander and can find nothing wrong with them, served me well for several years, but you pay your money and take your choice! |

If you must fit mudflaps it is very simple to break them off by going into a nice rough field. Then your Freelie 2 will be much more capable should you wish to drive on tarmac which has snow thereon. Simple. |
