A little job from a few weeks ago. Painting the side vents black!

Stage 1 of course is to remove the vents!



Then the fine line tape comes out! A little time consuming but has to be done to get it right!



Then to mask of the rest.



Plastic primer from both sides.



Then satin black from both sides to ensure a good covering.



Then, when all the masking removed, the fine line tape has done it's job well!



Then the vents are re-fitted to the car. I think the end result is very good! Should have done it years ago, although I always had this modification in mind, but never got round to doing it.

I haven't done an update for while, so here's the brake upgrade!
The weather forecast isn't very good for tomorrow, so I had half an hour or so to do this conversion today.

Pretty easy to be honest. Just the same as swapping discs and pads as normal. But you have to swap the carriers.

The discs now site nice and snug into the back plate. I'll be off out for a bed in drive later.

It sure does, they are almost bedded in now and there is a noticeable difference. A lot crisper bite under semi hard braking and then give you a more sense of confidence under braking without the rear end going light. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. I haven't given my car a good clean for a good few weeks now, so today was spent doing just that!

I also fitted my summer wheels which are brand new with brand new tyres. I know they are the original style wheel for my car, but I have never ran them on these so it's a fresh look for me!




I think we'll keep this one until the end of 2017, then look to replace it.

Well guys, I have tonight sold my Freelander, she goes to her new home in Wales on Sunday.

Been a good car, but now was for sure the right time to sell. So i'll be without a Land Rover for about........... 4 days!
