Put the roof racks on to get a better feel of the finished height. You may also need to get into car parking stations etc.

i think the top piece looks too oversized for the car, is there a smaller alternative or one that you can manufacture that sits a bit flusher with the body line ?

either way it may stop the mud being thrown up the passenger window

I have been watching this thread from the start and think that for a home made snorkel its turned out quite well.
Trying to deal with the shapes involved using off the shelf components to balance form and function is the hardest part and whilst there are some tweaks that could be made I don't think you could get it much better, even land rover couldnt get the offical snorkel for the d3 to look right from the front view.
Would it look a bit more streamlined with the ram top turned backwards, desert style?
