Updating 2013 MY Sat Nav Map

Whilst notching up a few extra miles recently, I noticed quite a few new bypasses / junctions etc. not showing on the map.
So - If I venture down to my dealer & ask for a map download / update (I think around £170), how recent will the new data be & is it purely a map update or are new features included? Has anyone had this done & can answer?
Thanks

they used to just change the disk for a newer one, I dunno if that's still the case now though.

I'm in the process of updating my 2010 with a newer 2014 disk from Volvo

New bypasses and junctions? Can't believe it's much of an update, I haven't seen a new road for years in the UK! Very Happy

I never trust satnavs. Every few weeks I find people down my drive trying to find a hotel that they drive past to get here. Rolling Eyes 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I was disappointed that the built-in sat. nav. is still as rubbish on my 2014 car as it was on the 2011 loan car I had a few years ago - you need more than 400yds warning to take an exit from a dual-carriageway! Gordon

Is that like the Motorway mode, which shows the distance to the next junctions instead of the one on your route? Gordon

I think I know the setting you mean, so yes it is similar - but works for junctions, roundabouts etc too

I've always had it like that because I can't stand the womans voice Laughing
